I am a writer and editor and currently work at Edra Publishing U.S., overseeing two news sites with dentistry and veterinary medicine content. As editor-in-chief, I edit and post up to 40 articles each week and work with others on my team to prep the content for distribution through newsletters. Edra Publishing was recently launched in the U.S. Its parent company, LSWR Group, celebrated its 10-year anniversary in February 2023 and has a strong presence in Europe and other countries publishing medical and legal content. The company’s aim is to keep working professionals informed and up-to-speed on research and industry news. 

Previously, I worked in media relations while also developing content as a science and medical writer in higher education in Colorado and Seattle. In these roles, I identified the best channels to share these stories with the public and other audiences, including potential donors. I worked closely with social media managers, photographers and videographers, and created concepts for videos and other visuals to showcase content. 

I am a former journalist and previously covered healthcare, health policy, medicine, science and music.

I wrote investigative articles and, as a freelancer, wrote reviews of concerts and previews and profiles of the artists. Over the course of many years and in several cities, I interviewed or reviewed Rufus Wainwright, Coldplay, Taylor Swift, Badly Drawn Boy, Melissa Ferrick, The Killers, The Shins, Death Cab for Cutie, Jenny Lewis, Jason Mraz, Michael Buble, My Morning Jacket and Elvis Perkins, among others.

My work has appeared in The Seattle Times, The Nation, Stateline.org, Puget Sound Business Journal, Washington Law & Politics, Seattle Star, Washington (DC) City Paper, Denver’s Westword and Baltimore City Paper.
